SALISBURY SQUASH :
The Varsity Squash Team returns with a young but rapidly maturing squad after an exceptionally strong year in 2010-11. While we graduated our top seven last June, we benefit from a strong development program in the junior varsity and from the return of a few players who made frequent appearances in the varsity ladder last year, including Michael Edson '13, Darby McGlone '13 and Brooks Oler '12. The squad has been given a significant lift as well from the arrival on campus of Caldwell Perkins '15, a young and seasoned player from New Hamphsire with plenty of tournament experience, and of Charlie Isen '14 and Alec Horter '13 from Philadelphia who both show excellent promise for the future. The big unknown at the outset is who from last year's junior varsity will step up their game to compete at the varsity level. We expect a strong showing from Henry Di Bonaventura '14, Eric Dush '13, Michael Proctor '13, Ford Nolan '13 and Jared Zissu '12. Newcomers to the sport but not to varsity athletics will be pressuring the ladder as well, including Kyle Freeman '13, and Geoff Grant '13. Returning to the Harris Squash Center to help lead the charge are upperclassmen Lion Creel '12, Cameron Fitch '12, Scott Hosley '12, Eric Jasinski '13, David LeBreton '12 and Walker Nielsen '13, all of whom have represented Salisbury on court in the past. More than ever, we expect strong pressure from below on a ladder that will evolve rapidly over the season.
We are delighted to announce the arrival on campus of assistant coach Will Burchfield, who will work with the varsity and JV squads throughout the year. Coach Burchfield graduated from Lawrenceville Academy in 2007 and from Trinity College in 2011, for which he helped earn a combined total of seven national championships.

History
Salisbury School has participated in interscholastic squash since 1987. The school added 3 international courts in 1999, and then with the success of the program, constructed a state-of-the-art facility with 8 courts as an integral part of the Flood Athletic Center in 2009. Salisbury hosted the Division B New England Championships in 2010 and hosted the Division A New England Championships in 2011.
Since the construction of the new facility, Salisbury Squash has grown to almost 60 boys playing on three different interscholastic teams and a recreational squad, making it one of the largest high school boys’ squash programs in New England.
