Spend a week of March break making a difference in the lives of others. Depart campus on Sunday, March 6 and fly to Biloxi, MI where you will spend your time building houses for victims of Hurricane Katrina.
Ten Salisbury boys along with 10 Westover girls will spend the week, building, sanding and painting preparing a house and helping to rebuild Biloxi, MI. The group will plan and help cook their own meals and stay in separate dorm-like housing. During the evenings you will have to opportunity to explore Biloxi, play volleyball, frisbee golf or relax at the beach.
This trip is very focused on service and the building project. Most days will begin at 8:00 a.m. and end around 5:00 p.m. Students should expect some amount of physical labor, such as moving wood, carrying paint or clearing debris.
The cost of the trip is $400, this includes airfare, housing, food and transportation. The deadline to sign up for the trip is December 8, at which time the entire trip fee along with the student application is due.
