Chris Dwyer '08 will be heading to Clemson University next fall to study and play baseball for the Tigers in the spring. "The reason I chose Clemson is because both academically and athletically, it is a very strong school. Also, it has a great tradition and I knew once I visited, it was the place for me." Chris is a quarterback on Salisbury's varsity football team, and pitches and plays center field for the varsity baseball team.
Anthony Hewitt '08 will also be playing baseball next year, but for Vanderbilt University. "I chose Vanderbilt because as soon as I stepped on campus, I felt a warm feeling; everyone was friendly and welcoming." During his career at Salisbury, Hewitt has played football, basketball and baseball on the varsity level. His positions for baseball are short stop and third base.
We congratulate both students and wish them well in their post-secondary academic and athletic careers.
