Entrepreneurial Studies – An Extraordinary Educational Opportunity

Debuted in the fall of 2006, the Entrepreneurial Studies program combines an academic curriculum for the Fifth and Sixth Forms with the hands-on experience of creating and managing a student-run business on campus. This academic program is designed to light the spark of the self-motivated, entrepreneurial student who intends to study business in college. The program will provide the quantitative, stimulating learning opportunities that top-notch colleges are seeking in their applicants. True to the learning style of boys, students will engage in real decision-making about the operation and growth of their student-run agencies.

Diploma with Distinction in Entrepreneurialism
In order to receive a diploma noting distinction in Entrepreneurialism, boys will participate in an academic program encompassing cross-disciplinary coursework focusing on quantitative and leadership skill development. Over the course of two years, the program will consist of the equivalent of three year-long classes:  Entrepreneurial Studies, AP Microeconomics and an Independent Study in Entrepreneurship.

Student Agencies

An integral part of the program is the hands-on experience boys will gain in developing and launching new concepts for services and products that serve the Salisbury community. Student agencies operate under a set of guiding principles and involve in;ut and oversight by members of the Salisbury faculty and staff. Any profits earned by the agencies are directed by the students toward charities or community service initiatives. As of November 2010, the following student organizations have been on the Salisbury campus.
