ABOUT THE TEAM:

2009 – 2010 Salisbury Hockey Pre-Season Outlook

Coming off a season where Salisbury captured the 2009 New England Prep Championship with a record of 20-4-3, there is a lot of excitement and enthusiasm for this year’s installment of the Crimson Knights. With only seven players moving on from last year’s team there will be plenty of experience on the part of the returning veterans mixed with a talented group of new-comers. Couple this with the Knights moving into their new home in the Flood Athletic Center and the 2009-2010 season looks to be another thrilling year on the “Hilltop”.

One of the strengths of this year’s team will be the Knights’ depth up front. Only two forwards from the 2009 Championship team will not be back in a crimson uniform. As a result, offensive production is expected to come from both our veterans and from the new members to the squad. With the return of many top contributors, we will be looking to them for valuable leadership and experience.

On the blue line, the Crimson Knights will be anchored by the returning seniors but will also rely on an exciting group of talented new defensemen. Mobility, puck movement and competitiveness are key characteristics of this defensive corps. We will also be looking for our defense to chip in offensively when possible. Together with strong goaltending and a dedicated forward group, team defense should be one of our strongest assets as we head into the year.

We are once again looking forward to another competitive year as a member of the Founder’s League, the finest school boy league in the country.
