We are proud of our rich curriculum that offers boys great breadth, many choices, and new opportunities.
Traditional Studies
Salisbury offers a traditional secondary school curriculum that is designed to prepare students for the rigors of college. Honors level and advanced placement courses are available for students seeking a more challenging curriculum. Many required courses also offer sections at a more moderate pace.
Departmental course offerings are carefully designed to teach boys to to write and read well, and to think independently as they hone the ability to apply the learning skills essential to achieving their full potential. We expect all students to thoroughly prepare for their lessons, participate in discussions, and perform to the very best of their abilities.
Innovation in the Classroom
Programs of Distinction: Knowing boys are experiential learners, Salisbury offers an academic program in Entrepreneurial Studies allowing boys to create and manage a student-run business of campus.
Salisbury Seminar Program: In the fall and spring trimesters, boys are taught knowledge and skills not presented in the traditional classroom setting. Programs range from wilderness training to human relations, and leadership skills and decision making to automotive maintenance.
In addition, 3-4 times throughout the year the Salisbury Seminar Program hosts a speakers series. Recent topics have included internet safety and diversity and tolerance.
Interdisciplinary Offerings: Our English, History, and Art Departments have joined together to offer boys the opportunity to apply knowledge, principles, and values to cross-curricular projects.
