We are proud of our rich curriculum that offers boys great breadth, many choices, and new opportunities.
Traditional Studies
Salisbury offers a traditional secondary school curriculum that is designed to prepare students for the rigors of college. Honors level and advanced placement courses are available for students seeking a more challenging curriculum. Many required courses also offer sections at a more moderate pace.
Departmental course offerings are carefully designed to teach boys to to write and read well, and to think independently as they hone the ability to apply the learning skills essential to achieving their full potential. We expect all students to thoroughly prepare for their lessons, participate in discussions, and perform to the very best of their abilities.
Innovation in the Classroom
Programs of Distinction: Knowing boys are experiential learners, Salisbury offers an academic program in Entrepreneurial Studies allowing boys to create and manage a student-run business of campus. In addition, we also offer multiple levels of Mandarin Chinese.
The Residential Life Program: This program is designed to support students in their growth, development and learning and focuses on nine core themes: service, citizenship, health and wellness, life skills, diversity, leadership, community building, school spirit and character education. Salisbury uses dorm-based discussions, all-school gatherings, speakers, seminars, theme weeks and social events to celebrate annual themes.
Interdisciplinary Offerings: Our English, History, and Art Departments have joined together to offer boys the opportunity to apply knowledge, principles, and values to cross-curricular projects.
Our Dedicated Faculty
Since its founding, Salisbury has placed an emphasis on small class size. Our student-teacher ratio is 11 to 1. Our faculty brings a wide array of experiences and professionalism with them to the classroom. They have an average 15 years of teaching experience and nearly half hold Master's Degrees or above.
Salisbury prides itself upon the meaningful partnerships developed between boys and faculty members. Our instructors hold the boys to high expectations and help them achieve their goals and dreams. |
