The faculty at Salisbury School is proud of the School’s rich curriculum that offers boys great breadth, many choices, and opportunities. Salisbury offers one of the best college preparatory programs with all the fundamentals required for students to excel academically, socially, artistically and athletically.
As Salisbury entered its second century, the School began to reevaluate the entire educational experience in order to better prepare our boys for an ever-changing global society. All recent research in education confirms that there is no better way for students to develop a talent than to work in a hands-on environment and produce actual results. Our Entrepreneurial Studies program allows just that and is based on a multi-disciplinary approach to economics, as well as a commitment to the depth of experiential learning that comes from applying economic theory. Each student creates, develops, and defends a business plan. Our Robotics program integrates computer aided design (CAD) and manufacturing (CAM) allowing the students a hands-on opportunity to explore robotics. The Class of 2013 Videoconferencing Center will engage students by allowing them to interact with the outside world by experiencing an integrated classroom with Chinese students in mainland China. It will also allow the students to possibly watch and participate in an autopsy in a medical facility where our students are able to ask questions in real time. The possibilities are endless.
The academic life at Salisbury is motivating. The teachers, coaches, and mentors at Salisbury are exceptional. They bring passion and expertise into their intimate classroom settings. Collaboration, innovation, problem solving, creativity, and civic responsibility are just some of the principles that guide Salisbury School’s 21st century educational model. Most importantly, these men and women partner with our students each day and always with the highest expectations.
