Soccer-Knights vs. Indian Mountain School

Event Type: Regular
Advantage:Home

Date: September 22, 2017

Result:Loss
Score:0-6

Event Recap:

On a beautiful Friday afternoon, the Salisbury Knights Soccer team fought valiantly against the Indian Mountain School Falcons. The game started off with neither side able to get a clear advantage at the start. There were chances both ways, as each team sought to gain control of the game. Ultimately it was the Falcons of IMS who were able to get onto the scoreboard first with some nice passing through the midfield. Unfortunately for the Knights, it wouldn't stop there as the one goal quickly turned into 3 more. A clearly shaken Knights team went down 0-4 quickly and started to struggle to get through the midfield efficiently. The Falcons would add two more goals before the half ended, one of which was a converted penalty kick, to finish ahead at the half 0-6. After an impassioned halftime speech by the coaches, the Knights reorganized their backline and played to a 0-0 second half. Unfortunately for the Knights, they just could not crack the backline of the Falcons and ultimately finished the game with zero goals. There were a lot of positives after the game, and with a good week of practice, the Knights will look to rebound against the same IMS team on Wednesday.
