vs. Taft School
|Date:||October 7, 2017|
The Knights succumbed to a bigger and stronger 3rds squad on an unseasonably warm day against the hosting Rhinos of Taft. While the Knights continued to improve in their ability to distribute the ball and use the wings, Taft’s speed and more nuanced passing resulted in the majority of the action taking place in Salisbury’s half. The team went down 4-0 in the first half but played a relatively stronger second half, allowing only a single additional goal in the half behind the good reactive goal keeping of Mark Segalla.
The second half also saw Salisbury’s offense make a number of credible scoring threats including a break away by David Dorsey that just went wide of the net. An additional few opportunities came on corner kicks but Andrew Miller’s attempts failed to find the head of Dylan Anton or the foot of Matt Peoples or Marcus Colaco.
The Knights look forward to their next game against Millbrook’s third team on Saturday, Oct 14th.
