Parents Association volunteers will work together with the Parents Association president and the director of parent programs to facilitate parent relations, communication, fundraising and special events as directed by the administration. If you would like to volunteer, please fill out the volunteer form below.
Parents Association President
The Parents Association president volunteer will oversee the various sub-committee chairs and their activities. She/he will set the agenda for the fall and spring Parents Association meetings and will be the figurehead welcoming parents at major gatherings and helping them to feel part of a special community
The social chair is responsible for the oversight and recruitment of other parent volunteers who will help new parents become acclimated to the School. In addition, the chair will engage all families to become an integral member of the Salisbury family. Activities include: MOB (Mother of Boys) luncheons; regional cocktail and dinner parties; phone calls and letters of welcome to new families in the School community; and involvement in the Residential Life Speakers Series.
The chair for Parents Weekend works with the director of parent programs to facilitate events taking place on campus that weekend.
Parents Fund Chair
The Parents Fund chair(s) will oversee a group of volunteers on behalf of the Parents Fund. The chair(s) and the volunteers will work closely with the director of parent programs to coordinate the solicitation and meet the goals of the Parents Fund. He/she is responsible for authoring the fall appeal and enlisting the help of 10-15 volunteers who will personally call other parents and request annual support.
The Sixth Form Parent Gift effort is a tradition by senior parents to raise a capital gift in honor of the graduating class. The chair(s) will work closely with the director of parent programs to coordinate the solicitation program. Parent leaders will invite all sixth form parents to participate. The gift will then be presented to the School at Graduation.
