Tripper is a seeing-eye dog in training from the Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation. He lives on campus with his foster family the McCormicks in Langdon. Students work with him on a weekly basis to learn basic dog training and techniques specific to guide dogs. In the spring boys will be able to work with Tripper throughout the day, bring him to classes, the dinning hall, chapel and all around campus. By doing so they will be asking Tripper to work on and perfect many of the skills he will need when he is Guide Dog. Students will also bring Tripper on field trips to Fidelco, the mall, grocery stores and restaurants to help introduce him to the world and educate the public about guide dogs.
For more information on Tripper and to view pictures of the boys go to Tripper's blog. While you're there check out the links on the left to vote for pictures of the month, meet the McCormicks, see Tripper Training pictures and of course pictures with the Salisbury Boys. Be sure to bookmark the blog and track Tripper's progress.
For more information about Tripper or to volunteer please contact Mrs. McCormick at jmccormick@salisburyschool.org at 860-435-5809.
