International Applicants

Salisbury School has a long tradition of enrolling an internationally diverse population of students.  We have students from 25 foreign countries that make up seventeen percent of the student body.  Each year we receive a number of applications from well-qualified international students.  International students add a great deal to the vibrant academic, social and co-curricular strength of life on the Hilltop.

Application Process

International Students should follow the application steps outlined on the Become A Knight  page.  We encourage all applicants to apply on-line using our application.  Salisbury does accept the SSAT Application and TABS Application.  The application fee for non-resident United States resident students is $150 U.S.

Interview Process

We understand that it may be difficult for all families to visit our remarkable campus.  In the event that a boy cannot come for a personal interview, the Admissions Office is glad to do a phone (860-435-5732) or a Skype (salisbury.admissions) interview.  We encourage families to do these interviews during normal business hours (Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. EST).

Testing

Salisbury requires standardized test scores for all international applicants.  For non-native speakers, a TOEFL or SSAT test is preferred.  Our SSAT school code is 7060.  Please contact the admissions office to confirm if another standardized test is acceptable.

Academic Support Services

Salisbury does not offer ESL.  Boys must be able to perform in a mainstream classroom setting.  In lieu of ESL, Salisbury does offer English language support in transitional classes and with one-on-one tutoring through the Rudd Learning Center.  There is an additional charge for the learning center.
