Why Salisbury?

As a student at Salisbury, you are part of a close-knit community.  From the moment you first arrive to the day you graduate, you play an important role in the life of the School.

Salisbury School is a Connecticut private boys’ school in Litchfield County that has been molding men since 1901. We offer a modern, diverse curriculum and vibrant artistic, athletic and extracurricular programs that build character and forge lifelong friendships. Our students learn skills they will take with them to leading colleges, lucrative careers and other fulfilling life experiences.

What Makes Salisbury Distinct

All-Boys

Being a small, single-sex school allows us to better foster your confidence. Salisbury students feel comfortable challenging themselves and each other in the classroom. You will become willing to take risks in a wide range of academic subjects- from science to the arts.

Schedules Designed For The Way Boys Learn

X - Block: This period is set aside to meet with extracurricular groups, take music lessons or meet with your advisor.  X Block provides an opportunity to meet face-to-face with the faculty member on campus who knows the most about your life at Salisbury.

Chapel

Chapel services are held every Tuesday and Friday morning before classes and include a speaker, community prayers, a hymn, a musical performance and a responsive reading.  Salisbury is also sensitive to the worship needs of non-Christians and regularly provides chapel speakers and services to honor those interests
