Updated Visitor Policy
Beginning October 11, families will be permitted to visit campus on Saturdays and Sundays. Visits must be scheduled through and approved by Director of Health Services Beth Hammond P'20. Below are Salisbury's requirements for visiting campus, these requirements are necessary in order to mitigate the risk of spreading COVID-19 to our community.
Requirements for family visitation:
A visit is defined as spending 15 minutes or more on campus. Parents wishing to schedule brief, no-contact deliveries of groceries or personal items may continue to coordinate this through the Deans' Office.
All visitors must be immediate family members and may include grandparents.
- All family visitors must complete a COVID-19 questionnaire for each visitor prior to scheduling their visit and submit it to Beth Hammond P'20 bhammond@salisburyschool.org
- Requests for scheduling a visit must be submitted to Beth Hammond P'20 by Wednesday at noon of the weekend you are planning to arrive.
- All family visitors will require proof of a negative PCR or antigen COVID-19 test within 72 hours of arrival. Test results must be emailed to bhammond@salisburyschool.org prior to arrival on campus.
Once approved by our Director of Health Services, we ask visitors to adhere to the following guidelines:
- Visitors must receive approval from Beth Hammond P'20 in order to gain access to campus.
- Visitors are asked to visit during specified hours:
- Saturdays between 1:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
- Sundays between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
- Family members are not allowed to enter any buildings on campus and should avoid areas where students congregate.
- Visitors are permitted to use the restroom in the main building or Flood Athletic Center.
- Students and visitors will be required to wear a mask at all times unless sharing a meal or snack.
- 6-ft social distancing outside should be maintained. We encourage visitors to meet in our Quad or on the Carl Williams Terrace in front of Main. We have added comfortable seating for our students and their guests.
- Families may bring personal items, groceries, etc. for their son but may NOT assist with delivering the items to his dorm room.
- Students are not allowed to leave campus with their parents during the visit.
- Any visitor who develops COVID-19 symptoms or undergoes testing for COVID-19 within 48 hours after visiting, must immediately notify the Health Center staff.
Off-campus Travel
Salisbury School continues to restrict off-campus travel. Exceptions to this include family emergencies and medical appointments.
In situations where students leave campus for reasons other than those listed above, Salisbury requires that the student complete a 14-day self-quarantine and obtain a negative COVID-19 test within 7 days of his return to campus.
