Community Service

Making An Impact

Our program is an all-school effort that reaches far beyond the campus impacting the lives of Salisbury boys and others in the greater community while nurturing individual growth and leadership skills.

In partnership with local organizations, you may work together in a variety of projects including prepping and serving meals at the local soup kitchen, assisting local churches with maintenance and events, and raising funds and awareness about local poverty through the annual CROP Walk. However, community service also comes in more informal ways. Students have found themselves cleaning up neighboring streets, setting up local events in downtown Salisbury and assisting our neighbors with yard work. With each project our goals are being met – Salisbury Knights working together to build bridges with one another and the world around us.  Through these experiences, we make an impact in our local community and learn what it means to be a member of a larger community.

big brothers; our signature program

Salisbury hosts a Big Brothers program which pairs together little brothers from Salisbury Central School (grades 3-5) with Salisbury boys.  On many Friday evenings the little brothers join our boys for dinner in the Dining Hall and then head down to the Flood Athletic Center for a variety of activities ranging from soccer and basketball to games like chess, uno, cards, and legos. Our boys are excited to participate in a program in which they mentor and foster a relationship with a young boy who shares like interests.
