Reel #3: 1930

This film was made during the winter of 1930.  It shows students enjoying outdoor activities such as skating, sledding, ski jumping, and cabin living.  It also features one of the earliest depictions of the Main Building on film.

 

Reel 4

Reel #4: circa 1930

This 16 mm reel provides a glimpse into music and sports at Salisbury School in the 1930s.  It also gives a glimpse into photography at the time, showing how photographs in our archives from that period were produced.

Reel # 8: 1954-1955

As this film shows, Salisbury school in the 1950s was a time of growth in terms of enrollment, facilities, and athletics.  All three are depicted in this reel, which depicts the building of Quaile Hall, student life, and the hockey and football teams in competition.

The Salisbury Glee Club under the leadership of Gretchen Higgins sing the National Anthem at Shea Stadium in 1993.
