All Decisions Have Consequences: A Day On The Hilltop With Christopher Kirwan
Kristina Miller

Christopher Kirwan was on the Hilltop to share his story about his long journey back to independence after suffering a traumatic brain injury. He and his mother, Marion, shared the resulting impact and life lessons born from the consequences of his decisions.

After completing his leaving exams at Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland, Christopher went out with friends for a night of carousing and celebration. Before heading home in the early hours of the morning, he stopped for a swim at Killiney Cliffs, as he had done many times before. While climbing back up, he fell twenty feet and landed on the back of his head. He was rushed to the emergency room, where doctors declared him brain dead. Fortunately, a neurology hospital was monitoring cases and ambulanced him over for review. They induced a coma to allow his brain to rest, and three weeks later they miraculously brought him back to consciousness.

A powerful message for our Knights to hear. Thank you, Christopher, for sharing your story with us.
