Hilltop Happenings

Christopher Buckley, an American author and political satirist, visited the Hilltop recently and joined the Honors boys in Mr. Rees' Modes of Written Expression class to talk about his novel, which they are currently reading, the political satire Thank You For Smoking. 

To help deepen our AP Language and Composition students' understanding of rhetoric Mr. Buckley also reached back to his experience in the White House as George H. W. Bush's speechwriter.

We were thrilled to welcome Mr. Buckley into our classes to spend time with some of our students. It's always a great day to be a Knight!
