Holiday Traditions On The Hilltop

Hanging of the Greens

The month of December was filled with fun and festive holiday celebrations and traditions on the Hilltop, truly embodying community and Brotherhood.

In the first week of December, we held our annual Hanging of the Greens in the Chapel (view photo album), followed by Lessons and Carols (view photo album) mid-month, which filled the Chapel with candlelight and song.

Our Knights and faculty children partook in the annual gingerbread house making party (view photo album), which resulted in the Dining Hall being decorated from top to bottom with wonderful creations!

Our culminating event was held last night, right before the start of winter break, where Headmaster Chisholm Chandler ’11 (Hon.), P’17 shared a holiday message in Chapel with the student body, followed by an Open House for the Sixth Form in his home.

The spirit of giving has been ever-present on campus all month as a toy drive was held to benefit local families, students hosted a senior citizen brunch, while other Knights helped prepare meals for local community members at the Breaking Bread Kitchen.

It's always a great time to be a Knight!
