Warder Family

We are pleased to announce the appointment of William “Bill” Warder as Salisbury's next Director of Admissions.

Bill comes to the Hilltop with nearly two decades of admissions experience, most recently at Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, NY. His career also includes time in advancement, coaching lacrosse, and as an educator in the classroom. Bill’s background in admissions recruitment strategies, analytics, and financial aid represents the future of Salisbury School and our industry tradition of strong leadership on the enrollment front.

He looks forward to working with, and learning the ins and outs of Salisbury admissions, from our longtime Director of Admissions Peter Gilbert P'18, '20, who will now support the good work of both the admissions and development teams as the Assistant Headmaster for Institutional Advancement.

Outside of Bill’s work at Hobart and William Smith Colleges he holds a B.A. from Hobart and an M.A. from Nazareth College. Prior to his time at Hobart, Bill was a collegiate and professional lacrosse player and coach, and began his career as a teacher at Avon Old Farms.

In addition to welcoming Bill to the Hilltop, we welcome his wife Miranda, who holds a B.S. and B.A from the University of Washington and an MPH from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, and their children Owen (9), Graeme (7), Colin (6), Beau (3), and Natalie (1) to Salisbury School.
