Salisbury School is pleased to partner with Mount Holyoke College in support of its Independent Schools Fellowship Program.

The program was designed to support independent schools in identifying, recruiting and developing teachers early in their careers. This program is part of Mount Holyoke's MAT in Teacher Leadership Program which includes a 32-36 credit customizable program in areas such as pedagogy and leadership. This special opportunity is aimed at helping fellows build " a rich toolbox to draw from for their personal and professional success."

Fellows can choose from several different tracks to focus on including action research, special education, social-emotional learning, global and intercultural education, inclusive classrooms, arts integration, and English language learners.

This two-year program requires a capstone project created by the fellow and school leadership. Coursework is scheduled to work in conjunction with a fellow's work calendar and provides scholarship funds. In addition to the fellowship, Salisbury School faculty are also participating in online workshops throughout the year covering a wide range of topics including assessing curricular and co-curricular effectiveness and emerging research on teaching on learning.

Salisbury is proud to share that our own Knight, Bryce Daley '18 has returned to the Hilltop as the recipient of the Independent Schools Fellowship Program and is currently teaching English courses, coaching and serving as a dorm parent.
