Salisbury Gentlemen Eagle Scouts

Eagle Scouts

We proudly have eight Eagle Scouts on the Hilltop this year!

Bradley Rider '20, Austin Pelayo '20, Nicholas Collins '21, Drew Lavoie '20, Will Mangel '22, Griffin Fitzpatrick '23, Winston Churchill '20, and Alex Beidleman '20 have all earned the rank of Eagle Scout within the Boy Scouts of America.

Eagle Scout is the highest rank that can be achieved in the Boy Scouts of America program. Since its inception in 1911, only four percent of Boy Scouts have earned this rank and we are so proud of the huge accomplishment that seven of our Knights took to earn this great achievement.

Will Mangel '22 shares that his desire to become a Boy Scout "is a direct result of my father's achievement of the Eagle Scout rank. I wanted to become an Eagle Scout because it is considered the highest rank in scouting and I always admired older scouts who had achieved the prestigious rank before me. The highlight of joining scouting was developing leadership skills that continue to benefit me today. If anyone is considering joining scouting, I personally would highly recommend it due to its combination of fun and development of life skills."

Griffin Fitzpatrick '23 shares that "scouting has been a driving force. It taught me innumerable life skills, and catalyzed strong friendships. It also taught me important leadership skills, while camping and in the classroom. Once an Eagle, always an Eagle."

Congratulations to these fine Salisbury Gentlemen in their hard work and dedication to become Eagle Scouts. Now, those are Knights!
