Director of Entrepreneurial Studies Jeffrey May P ’15 ‘21 is happy to report on the charitable contributions that Matthew Benham '22 and Dane Westen '22, operators of Salisbury Suppliers, have elected to make from 2020-2021 operating surplus. In all cases, the selected charities have been confirmed as tax exempt charitable entities. A total of $2,000 has been directed to the following organizations:
Fishes and Loaves Food Pantry, operated by the North Canaan Congregational Church, which helps the community of North Canaan provide food assistance to those in need.
The Corner Food Pantry (formerly OWL’s Kitchen), wich helps the local community provide food assistance to those in need.
11 Day Power Play, which helps in the fight against cancer and is centered in the Buffalo, NY area.
Charley’s Fund, which funds research on the treatment of Duchenne muscular dystrophy and is based in Great Barrington, MA.
This past year, perhaps more than ever, organizations throughout the nation relied on support from their community. The Salisbury community is proud to play a part in directing donations where and when it is needed. Now, those are Knights!
