STUDENT SPOTLIGHT: WALLY MCKEON '20

1. What have you learned in your time on the Hilltop that's been most useful to you and has had the most impact on your life thus far?

I have learned to try new things. I have branched out and taken classes I didn’t think I would like, and ended up finding a great passion in that subject. I have joined clubs that I never would’ve considered joining. I have discovered things about myself that I didn’t know was inside of me by trying new things at Salisbury. My friends and teachers have encouraged me to branch out and try something out of my comfort zone.

2. What's your favorite place on campus and why?

Down by the lake with friends on a Sunday afternoon. Whether it be because of a school-wide event or just a time for me to take a break from studying, it is a truly special place.

3. What's your favorite activity and why?

My favorite club is The Cupola, our school newspaper. It is not just used as a space for students to present news on the campus, but a place to show their writing talents and share what’s on their mind. We work to produce an issue once a month, all student produced. I love being able to share my opinions with the student body and community.

Now, that's a Knight!
