The Hilltop Celebrates the Awarding of the Salisbury Medal
Kristina Miller

The Salisbury medal is awarded to those who have "truly demonstrated loyalty and honor, service and devotion, and who have perpetuated the goals and ideals of Salisbury... through their energy, commitment and selfless contribution to the school."

The 2020 Salisbury Medal recipient is Senior Master Ralph Menconi '84 (Hon.). Ralph retired in 2014 after 43 years of service on the Hilltop. When he made Salisbury the sole beneficiary of his school retirement plan, he commented, "Salisbury stood with me for four decades and four headmasters, and this is my way of recognizing our longtime mutual affection and support." Ralph will forever shine a bright light on the future of the Hilltop.

Jennifer and Greg Johnson Trustee, P'21 are the 2021 recipients of the Salisbury Medal. They arrived on Campus with their son, Chad '21, in the fall of 2017 and quickly became caring members of our community. Greg soon joined the Board of Trustees, and together the Johnsons made a significant impact on Salisbury. They were co-chairs of the remarkable Class of 2021 Sixth Form Gift Committee which raised over $1.5M for the Chapel renovation and have been tremendous advocates and supporters of the Rudd Center for Learning and Academic Growth, The Salisbury Fund, and athletics, including a brand-new Turf field for Soccer and Baseball.

Jennifer and Greg Johnson Trustee, P'21 recently joined Salisbury's Wall of Honor. The Wall of Honor pays tribute to the School's most generous and loyal benefactors. This wall contains the names of those who have most significantly advanced the School.

Jennifer, Greg, and their son Chad '21 are forever trusted friends and partners with Salisbury and all members of its community.
