Event Type: Regular

Date: September 16, 2017

Event Recap:

Knights No Match for Hotchkiss

Salisbury met Hotchkiss Saturday afternoon on the Bearcats’ home course and could only watch as the hosts captured the first five places to score a 15-48 shutout. Jack Gottsegen crossed the finish-line first for Salisbury with a time of 19:30. Gottsegen’s 6th-place finish in hot and humid condition kept Hotchkiss from sweeping the top seven positions and earning a perfect score.

James Kelly Mitchell followed Gottsegen, completing the course in 21:13, good for 13th-place overall out of 61 finishers. Joe Raab (21:43) was 3rd for the Knights and 16th overall; George Mennen (22:22), 4th and 20th; and Myles Knight (22:23), 5th and 21st.

Next Saturday, the runners head to Trinity-Pawling for a tri-meet with T-P and Avon Old Farms.
