Head Coach: Jonathan Gottsegen
Jonathan began his study of Latin in the 7th grade, sparking an interest in Greco-Roman culture that continues to this day. He was raised in Chappaqua NY, and after graduating from Vermont Academy in 1986, Jonathan moved west and was an English Major at Colorado State University, and a student in Classical Antiquities at the University of Colorado. In between his academic pursuits, Jonathan was a professional ski patroller and Class V whitewater guide. In 2000, Jonathan returned to the east coast and taught at the Harvey school in Katonah, NY, where he was the chair of classics, advisor to student government and coached soccer, hockey, skiing and basketball. At Salisbury, Jonathan teaches Latin in addition to coaching soccer and skiing. He resides on campus in Ward House with his wife and three children.
