More than 400 alumni, parents, family and friends celebrated Salisbury this weekend on the Hilltop. This fun-filled and informative weekend was the backdrop for old friends to re-connect and for families to enjoy time together; the festive atmosphere also sparked new friendships; the Brotherhood was in full force.
On Friday afternoon, parents learned a bit about the college process, alumni explored the work of Salisbury’s Tiny House class, and many visited the local historical society that featured the work of Mr. McEachern's "Black History In Rural Connecticut" class. Parents attended a reception with the Headmaster then joined alumni for a tailgate dinner while watching our Varsity Lacrosse play under the lights. Closing out the tailgate was the ever-popular Ben & Jerry's truck.
Saturday included several steadfast regulars such as the Jim Bates 5K Family Run/Walk, the Cheney Hike, and class visits as well as joining the community for an all-school meeting. New for 2018, guests were invited to participate in student and faculty discussion panels as well as a State of Salisbury presentation headed by our Director of College Counseling Bobby Wynne P''19 and Director of Admissions Peter Gilbert P'18, '20 before attending our annual Leadership Convocation. This year's speaker was Porter Collins '93, co-founder and Portfolio Manager of Seawolf Capital LLC, and member of the U.S. Olympic Rowing Team in 1996 and 2000.
Our weekend culminated with an evening spent lakeside enjoying cocktails and dinner.
Our thanks to all who attended and helped make the weekend a success!
