Orientation Day
Posted 09/14/2018 08:12AM

Despite the rain and cool temperatures, our boys embraced the opportunity to spend a day together for orientation prior to the start of the school year, connecting and reconnecting as well as enjoying the beautiful surroundings.

The third and fourth formers visited Camp Sloane, a YMCA camp in Lakeville, CT, and participated in community building challenges and games.

The fifth and sixth formers took a hike! The fifth formers hiked in the morning followed by the sixth in the afternoon.  Each class was divided into two groups, one group hiked the Appalachian Trail where it meets Rt. 44 near Salisbury and the other at the Great Falls in Falls Village. They hiked to Rand's View, a spot behind campus where the two groups met and English faculty Dick Curtis and Director of  Campus Life Jennifer Siff surprised the students with snacks. Mr. Curtis spoke to the history of the area before everyone headed back to campus. All in all, a great day to be a Knight!
